Automatic Pet Feeders Compared (2026): The 8 Best
8 feeders, from a basic gravity set to Wi-Fi multi-cat models
- 16models shortlisted
- 8models compared
- 4weighted criteria
Only two of these 8 automatic pet feeders list Wi-Fi. Five more are plain timer models and one is a gravity feeder with no timer at all, so the real choice is how much control you want over meals. The PETLIBRO PLAF103 wins with 8.4 out of 10: a 5-liter tank, up to 10 meals a day, app control, a recordable voice message and a warranty of 24 months. The Yuposl is the value pick, the ANDOLL HOME 3 L the budget pick and the QUBIXPAW the premium pick. The scores draw on manufacturer specifications for feeding performance, extras, build and handling. That should help you match a feeder to one pet, two cats or a bigger household.
Key takeaways
- PETLIBRO PLAF103 wins with 8.4: 5 L, up to 10 meals a day, Wi-Fi app, voice message and a 24-month warranty.

Brand: PETLIBRO Price level Price level 4 of 4
8.4/10ExcellentComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026Most control of the eight: 5 L, up to 10 meals a day, Wi-Fi app, voice message, 24-month warranty.
Ideal for
Owners who want to program and check meals from a phone
The PETLIBRO PLAF103 has the fullest control over meals of the eight. Per its listing, the 5-liter tank serves up to 10 meals per day. Each meal can be 1 to 48 portions at 1/12 cup, set in an app over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi (Bluetooth is named too). You can record a voice message of up to 10 seconds. When the tank runs empty, the phone gets an alert and an indicator turns red. A patent rotor and a twist-lock lid keep pets out and food fresh, and the desiccant bag that comes with it needs replacing every two weeks. The warranty is 24 months. Against that: the top price class, kibble limited to 2 to 15 mm, hand washing only and a base that never goes in water.

Ideal for
Homes with three or more cats that eat at the same time
One 9-liter hopper, four stainless bowls, all filled at the same moment: QUBIXPAW is built for homes with several cats. Each bowl can have its own portion size, according to the listing. An enlarged 50 × 28 mm outlet and a parallel dispensing mechanism are meant to prevent jams with 2 to 15 mm kibble. App control works over 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and dual power with memory storage keeps the schedule through an outage. A color-changing desiccant and voice recording are included. The care line lists dishwasher-safe parts with a wipe-down for the main unit. The catches: 8.65 pounds, 16 inches in length, the top price class and no stated warranty.

Brand: PETLIBRO Price level Price level 3 of 4
8.0/10ExcellentComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026No-Wi-Fi sibling of the PLAF103: 3 L, up to 6 meals, anti-jam stop, battery backup and a 24-month warranty.
Ideal for
One or two pets on a fixed schedule that do not need an app
Take the PLAF103, remove Wi-Fi and the app, and you get the PETLIBRO PLAF005. It is a 3-liter feeder that schedules up to 6 meals daily, with 1–50 portions per meal at 2.5 teaspoons each. Freshness features include a desiccant bag, a sealing strip, a twist-lock lid and a patented rotor, and an infrared anti-jam safety stop is named. Power comes from USB-C, with three D batteries as backup that the listing puts at about 30 to 50 days. The voice meal call lasts 10 seconds, and the warranty is 24 months. You give up the 5-liter tank, the extra meals and the app, and you wash it by hand. In return it keeps the same freshness design in a lower price class than the PLAF103.
Pros
- Up to 6 meals, 1–50 portions of 2.5 tsp

Rank 4: oneisall Automatic Feeder for 2 Cats (5 L)
Brand: Oneisall Price level Price level 3 of 4
7.7/10Very goodComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026Two stainless bowls 16 in apart, a 5 L tank, a dial to program and a 2-year warranty, but no app.
Ideal for
Two-cat homes where the cats compete at the bowl
The oneisall is a two-cat feeder without an app. Two stainless steel bowls sit opposite each other, 16 inches apart, so the cats do not queue or fight over one dish. The 5-liter, 20-cup tank is said to feed two adult cats for 10 days. A dial sets the schedule. One portion is about 10 grams or 1/12 cup, and a 10-second voice message plays before each meal. Power is a DC adapter with a four-AA backup (batteries not included), plus an anti-chew cord. Two years of warranty are stated. The bowls are dishwasher safe, but the main unit cannot go in water.
Pros
- Two bowls 16 in apart for two cats

Brand: Yuposl Price level Price level 2 of 4
7.4/10Very goodComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026Value pick: LCD-programmed 3 L feeder, 1–6 meals, with anti-jam design and battery backup.
Ideal for
One-cat homes that want a simple, no-app timer feeder
Yuposl earns the value pick by keeping things simple. A 3-liter (12-cup) tank programmed on an LCD with buttons means no Wi-Fi and no phone. The listing gives 1 to 6 meals per day with adjustable portions, kibble of 2 to 15 mm, a soft rubber rotor for freshness and an ant-proof design. A corded adapter does the daily work, and three D batteries (not included) are rated to keep it going for more than 180 days. A stainless steel bowl and a placemat come in the box. The weak points are the ABS plastic body, no stated warranty and a tank at the small end of the range, so it suits one cat better than several.
Pros
- LCD and buttons, no app needed

7.3/10Very goodComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026One-pet timer feeder with a 4 L tank, 10 s voice recording and AA battery backup; no portion steps listed.
Ideal for
Single pets and trips where a bigger tank than 3 L helps
Control is thin on the ANDOLL HOME 4 L: no app, no meal count and no portion steps in the data, just a programmable timer. What it offers is a 4-liter tank, an ant-proof design and a voice recording of 10 seconds that plays three times at mealtime. A swinging device in the dispenser is meant to stop food from blocking, and a top lid is meant to keep pets from stealing food. It runs from a 5V adapter, with three AA batteries as backup that the listing says are not included. The warranty is one year. Cleaning is by hand and by wipe-down. Next to the PETLIBRO models it gives a single pet less to adjust, but it holds more than the smallest tanks.
Pros

7.1/10Very goodComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026Budget pick: plastic 3 L timer feeder with voice recording and AA backup; no portion steps listed.
Ideal for
One cat on a tight budget
The ANDOLL HOME 3 L is the budget pick: a plastic version of the FT-3S design that the 4 L model uses in stainless steel. It has timer programming, an ant-proof design, a 10-second voice recording, an anti-blockage swing device and an adapter with AA battery backup. The tank holds 3 liters, the body weighs 2.89 pounds and a one-year warranty is stated. What you give up is the metal body and the extra capacity. Portion steps and meal count are missing here too. A plain feeder for one cat, in the entry price class.

Rank 8: Wefeedy Gravity Feeder and Water Dispenser Set

6.3/10GoodComparison score · data-based comparison, no hands-on testAs of 10/2026Gravity feeder and water dispenser set, 3.3 L each, no timer, no power and no portion control.
Ideal for
A day or two away when a simple refill-and-go set is enough
Wefeedy is a different kind of product: a gravity feeder and water dispenser set of 3.3 liters each, with no timer, no motor and no power. Food and water flow down as the pet eats, the water side uses a siphon design to hold the bowl level, and both parts are made of food-grade PP and PET. The 3.3 liters last small pets about six days and large pets two days, according to the listing. Assembly and cleaning are easy. But it cannot portion meals or run a schedule, so it does nothing for diets or timed feeding, and it ranks last because it is not automatic the way the others are. One more oddity: the title calls it a cat feeder while the specification table lists dogs.
Pros

Buying guide: what to look for in automatic pet feeders
How to choose an automatic pet feeder
An automatic feeder releases dry food at set times, so meals no longer depend on your alarm clock. The eight models here follow three approaches: Wi-Fi feeders you control from a phone, timer feeders you program on the unit, and a gravity set with no timing at all.
Timer, app or gravity
On a timer feeder you set the schedule at the unit. Yuposl has an LCD with buttons, oneisall a dial, and the PETLIBRO PLAF005 and both ANDOLL HOME models offer programmable timers. App feeders add remote control. PETLIBRO PLAF103 and QUBIXPAW both list 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and the PLAF103 also sends a notification when the tank is empty.
Wefeedy is the odd one out. Food falls into the bowl by gravity as the pet eats, so it keeps a bowl full rather than serving meals.
Capacity and meals per day
Tank sizes run from 3 liters (PETLIBRO PLAF005, Yuposl, ANDOLL HOME 3 L) through 3.3 liters (Wefeedy), 4 liters (ANDOLL HOME 4 L) and 5 liters (PLAF103, oneisall) to 9 liters (QUBIXPAW). Only three models state meals per day: up to 10 for PLAF103, up to 6 for PLAF005 and 1 to 6 for Yuposl. A bigger tank means fewer refills, but dry food loses freshness over time. A 9-liter hopper pays off only in a household that actually eats through it.
Portion control and kibble size
Portion steps decide how finely a diet can be set. PLAF103 offers 1 to 48 portions per meal at 1/12 cup each, PLAF005 1 to 50 portions at 2.5 teaspoons, and oneisall lists one portion as about 10 grams or 1/12 cup. QUBIXPAW sets portion sizes per bowl, Yuposl lists adjustable portions, and the two ANDOLL HOME models give no steps at all. For a pet on a measured diet, this is the spec to check first.
Kibble size matters for jams. PLAF103, PLAF005, Yuposl and QUBIXPAW all name a 2 to 15 mm range.
One pet or several
Most feeders serve a single bowl. Two models are built for several cats: oneisall places two stainless steel bowls 16 inches apart, and QUBIXPAW drops food into four bowls at the same moment. Neither listing mentions recognizing individual animals. A hungry cat can therefore still eat from a neighbor’s bowl, and separate feeding spaces and per-bowl portions help without guaranteeing fair shares.
Power and backup
Almost all models run on a corded adapter, and the backups differ. PLAF005 adds three D batteries, which the listing puts at 30 to 50 days. Yuposl takes three D cells too, rated for more than 180 days. The oneisall uses four AA batteries and both ANDOLL HOME models three AA. For Yuposl, oneisall and ANDOLL HOME the listings add that the batteries are not included. QUBIXPAW lists dual power with memory storage. PLAF103 lists no backup, so a power cut can interrupt its schedule unless the unit keeps it in memory.
Freshness, materials and cleaning
Stainless steel parts are listed for PLAF103, PLAF005, oneisall, QUBIXPAW (bowls) and ANDOLL HOME 4 L. ANDOLL HOME 3 L is plastic and Yuposl is ABS. Desiccant bags are named for PLAF103, PLAF005, oneisall and QUBIXPAW, twist-lock lids for both PETLIBRO models, a sealing strip for PLAF005 and a rubber rotor for Yuposl.
Cleaning rules vary. PLAF103 says never wash the base, oneisall’s main unit cannot go in water although its bowls are dishwasher safe, and most others are hand wash only.
Which feeder for which home?
- PETLIBRO PLAF103 for one pet and remote control: app control and up to 10 meals a day.
- QUBIXPAW for three or more cats, with four bowls and per-bowl portions. Each cat also needs fresh water, so see cat water fountains.
- oneisall for two cats that compete, with bowls 16 inches apart.
- PLAF005 for the warranty and anti-jam stop, or Yuposl for LCD programming, when one cat needs no app.
- On a tight budget, ANDOLL HOME 3 L, or Wefeedy if you only need a gravity refill.
Buying mistakes to avoid
- Expecting wet food to work. These listings describe dry kibble only, one of the limits of automatic pet feeders.
- Ignoring kibble size: large or irregular pieces can jam a rotor, so check the 2 to 15 mm range where it is stated.
- Skipping the backup. A power cut can leave a pet unfed unless batteries are fitted.
- Counting on a bigger tank alone, when freshness aids and a cleanable path matter more for stale kibble.
- Washing the wrong parts: several feeders have a base or main unit that must stay dry, and the parts that can be washed need somewhere to dry, such as dish drying racks.
Setting up and caring for a feeder
Fill the tank with the kibble you actually feed, set the schedule from the unit or app and watch the first few meals. You are checking two things: that the portion size is right and that nothing jams. Your vet knows how much your pet should eat each day. Portion steps only divide the food you choose, and a kitchen scale shows what one portion weighs. Dog owners can browse dog harnesses compared as well, and the rest of our pet range is collected in the pet supply comparisons.
What the data cannot tell you
Capacities and meal counts are on the page; how reliably a rotor dispenses your particular kibble is not. Neither is how loud it runs, or whether a determined cat can open the lid. App feeders add a dependency on the maker’s app and your Wi-Fi, and either can change after purchase. Shortlist by capacity, portion control, backup power, cleaning rules and warranty, then watch the first few weeks of meals until you trust the setup.
How the eight feeders were scored
None of the eight was used by us. The scores rest on what the makers publish (data and specifications), on the included accessories and on the price class, judged against the rest of this set. We began with 16 candidates and kept 8. The weights are 35% for feeding performance, 25% for features and versatility, 20% for build quality and materials and 20% for handling and care. Weighted together, they give the score out of 10. Where data is missing we do not guess, so a gap only costs a model credit. The methodology page has the details.
Frequently asked questions
Do automatic feeders work with wet food?
No. Every feeder here is described for dry kibble: PETLIBRO names kibble of 2 to 15 mm, Yuposl and QUBIXPAW give the same range, and ANDOLL HOME and oneisall name dry food. Wet food can jam a rotor or gravity chute and spoil in the tank, so none of these is meant for it. It calls for a different type, for example a feeder with sealed trays, which this comparison does not cover.
What happens if the power goes out?
That depends on the backup. PLAF005 lists three D batteries (30 to 50 days), Yuposl three D batteries, oneisall four AA, the ANDOLL HOME models three AA, and QUBIXPAW dual power with memory storage. Several listings say the batteries are not included. PLAF103 lists no battery backup, so check how it keeps its schedule through a cut. Wefeedy needs no power at all.
What kibble size do these feeders accept?
Four feeders name 2 to 15 mm: PETLIBRO PLAF103 and PLAF005, Yuposl and QUBIXPAW. QUBIXPAW adds an enlarged 50 × 28 mm outlet against clogging. For ANDOLL HOME and Wefeedy our data gives no range, and the oneisall note on kibble size is incomplete. Very large dental kibble and mixed shapes are the usual cause of jams, so measure a piece before you buy.
Can one feeder serve several cats?
Yes, with two of them. The oneisall feeds two cats from bowls 16 inches apart, and QUBIXPAW feeds up to four from a 9-liter hopper, with per-bowl portions. Neither listing mentions recognizing individual cats, so a cat can still eat from a neighbor’s bowl. Cats on different diets are better off in separate rooms or with microchip-reading feeders, which this comparison does not cover.
How do I clean an automatic feeder?
Follow the care line of each model. QUBIXPAW lists dishwasher-safe parts and a wipe-down for the unit, oneisall has dishwasher-safe bowls but a main unit that cannot go in water, and PLAF103 warns never to wash the base. PLAF005, Yuposl and the ANDOLL HOME models are hand wash only. Replace desiccant bags on schedule and dry every part before refilling.
Did you physically use these feeders?
No. Nobody on our side has unpacked or used any of the eight, and there are no lab results behind the scores. They come from the makers’ specifications, the data in each listing, the included accessories and the price class. Within this set each criterion is scored 0 to 10 and weighted, and a missing value is never filled in with a guess. The weights are laid out in the buying guide above.
